YouTube goes down for more than an hour

Google-owned YouTube says a widespread issue with some of its services has been resolved, nearly two hours after several people took to social media to complain about broadcasting issues.

Given the scale of the problem, it is unknown how long we will can expect a fix to take. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated", it tweeted.

About two hours later, the Team YouTube account confirmed service had been restored.

If you are unable to watch YouTube videos, you're not the only one, as the site appears to have crashed entirely for users worldwide. By 9:25 p.m., nearly 50,000 users tweeted with the hashtag "YouTubeDOWN".
