NYT Regrets Assigning Writer Critical Of Kavanaugh To 1985 Bar Fight Story

A new report by The New York Times reveals that police questioned Brett Kavanaugh about a bar fight in 1985.

The report said 21-year-old Dom Cozzolino told police that Mr Kavanaugh threw ice at him for "some unknown reason".

One of those is a police report obtained Monday by The New York Times about a 1985 bar fight in CT following a UB40 concert, when Kavanaugh, then a junior at Yale, threw a beer at a man he thought was the band's then-lead singer, Ali Campbell.

Ludington said in the statement he often drank with Kavanaugh when they were classmates, and said Kavanaugh had played down "the degree and frequency" of his drinking in his testimony. (However, the report doesn't say if any arrests or charges were made.) And while Kavanaugh keeps toeing the line that he never partied that much in college, the information spewing forth seems to indicate otherwise.

The White House did not have any immediate reaction on behalf of itself or Kavanaugh, but directed CNN to comments made by Chris Dudley, a close friend of Kavanaugh's and a former National Basketball Association player. Kavanaugh was a junior at Yale at the time.

Several people with information related to the sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh say the Federal Bureau of Investigation has not been willing to interview them.

"He wasn't that type of person", Dudley told CNN. I like beer. There's no problem with drinking beer in college.

Struggling Mourinho confident Red Devils job not under threat
Mourinho added: 'I am still the kid that I was 20 years ago and I am still naive, but I still don't believe that a player is not honest'.

A Yale classmate of Kavanaugh's, Kerry Berchem, told NBC that she had emailed an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent about the text messages and sent a follow-up note, but had not heard back. "It is truth that is at stake, and I believe that the ability to speak the truth, even when it does not reflect well upon oneself, is a paramount quality we seek in our nation's most powerful judges".

Last week, Kavanaugh told the Senate Judiciary Committee that he drank but was never out of control.

On Monday, Ludington read the statement outside his home in North Carolina and then added that "There were certainly many times when [Kavanaugh] could not remember what was going on". Sanders wrote. "Throwing ice 33 years ago, or her opinion of Judge Kavanaugh in July?" Dudley stressed that while he and Kavanaugh drank together in college, he never saw Kavanaugh black out.

While Kavanaugh might talk under oath like he's had only a casual relationship with alcohol, the "two of them were probably more than just friends", Noah speculated.

Walsh has said his client doesn't know Kavanaugh and has no recollection of ever being at a party with him.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is pledging that senators will begin voting on Kavanaugh's nomination this week, and criticized what he called "endless delay and obstruction".
