The latest on Brett Kavanaugh: Another woman comes forward

"I drank beer with my friends, usually on weekends".

Mr Kavanaugh himself has repeatedly denied all the allegations, saying he had never even heard of the latest accuser and calling her accusations "ridiculous and from the Twilight Zone".

She claimed that boys at these parties used this technique to "gang rape" a drunk woman at the party with a "train" of men waiting in the hallway to have their turn. Kavanaugh had been profiled in the New Yorker that year, when Ford was piecing together memories of the alleged assault, as the most likely next Supreme Court justice if a Republican won the 2012 presidential election.

No-Rapey-SCOTUS Talking Points: Swetnick describes a high school culture that has been backed up by numerous people over the past two weeks. "That kind of depends upon what happens tomorrow", Grassley said. The allegations directly contradict Kavanaugh's categorical denials.

"The first time these allegations came to light, as far as we know from reading the reports in the media, Dr. Blasey told her therapist and told her husband", Wilkinson said.

"I am innocent of this charge", Mr Kavanaugh says.

Ramirez, who attended Yale University at the same time as Kavanaugh, alleges he shoved his penis in her face at a party in college.

The hearing is scheduled for 10am on Thursday in Washington. Trump said in a tweet.

Michael Avenatti, lawyer to Stormy Daniels, has revealed the name of his client who has now come forward to accuse Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct. Her statement includes a series of other serious allegations that CNN has not yet been able to corroborate. He says Kavanaugh should not be confirmed without a full investigation. He has said: "I've never sexually assaulted anyone in high school or otherwise".

Swetnick also said that she was drugged and gang-raped at a party in approximately 1982 at which Kavanaugh was present.

"During the incident, I was incapacitated without my consent and was unable to fight off the boys raping me".

Wilkinson added, "That's very important because apparently in those notes, there's a differing story about how many people were present at the party, there's no mention of Judge Kavanaugh, and so all that information would be very important to determine whether there's any corroboration of this allegation".

According to a document Mr Avenatti posted on Twitter, the woman alleges she witnessed Mr Kavanaugh "consistently engage in excessive drinking and inappropriate contact of a sexual nature with women in the early 1980s".

He called allegations by three women that he acted inappropriately as a young man a "last-minute smear campaign". She had worked for several government agencies, including the U.S. Mint and the State Department, and had held security clearances, she said.

"The Republicans could not be nicer, could not be more respectful to the process".

A third accuser of Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, publicly identified herself on September 26 as Julie Swetnick, 55.

Kavanaugh and Ford are both set to testify before the committee on Thursday.
