Senate panel receives new Kavanaugh allegations

The appellate court judge's written statement came a short time after attorney Michael Avenatti identified Julie Swetnick as the third of Kavanaugh's accusers.

The most explosive of Swetnick's allegations, though, is a claim that she witnessed efforts by Judge, Kavanaugh "and others to "target" particular girls" using spiked punch "so they could be taken advantage of".

Calling the empowerment of women alleging abuse "very dangerous" for the country, President Donald Trump weighed in Wednesday on the mounting accusations against his Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.

The committee also released a two-page prepared statement from Kavanaugh for Thursday's hearing in which he "categorically and unequivocally" denied Ford's allegation.

Those documents could have weight because people who Ford has said were at the party she's described have not corroborated her account.

In a sworn affidavit from Julie Swetnick, who claims to have known the nominee as a teenager when she attended Gaithersburg High School in Maryland, Kavanuagh is accused of engaging in "abusive and physically aggressive behavior toward girls", including the fondling and grabbing of girls without their consent, and "not taking "no" for an answer".

Ford, a 51-year-old research psychologist and professor at Palo Alto University, claims that Kavanaugh, 53, sexually assaulted her at a high school party in the 1980s, where he allegedly pinned her down to a bed, groped her and tried to remove her clothes. Judge has said he has no memory of the alleged sexual assault in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee. He said his wife mentioned that she was afraid Trump would pick Kavanaugh, who was on his list of candidates. Sometimes I had too many. She said she shared details of the incident with two additional people shortly after the sexual assault took place. She said she had been nearly raped by someone who was now a federal judge. He has since said that he thinks all of the allegations against Kavanaugh are false. He listed sleepovers at his friend's homes, including that of Mark Judge, Kavanaugh's friend and classmate at Georgetown Preparatory School.

All 10 Democrats on the Judiciary Committee also urged Kavanaugh to withdraw if the Federal Bureau of Investigation does not investigate the allegations. On Friday, Trump wrote on Twitter that "if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities". This is sworn hearsay by Ford's husband, her son's baseball coach, her friend, and her neighbor.

"I was walking my dog and Christine was outside of her house", White said.

An attorney for Kavanaugh says there is no dispute that he drank in high school and college. It shows that Christine Blasey Ford's allegation against Judge Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed, except that it doesn't.
