Russian Federation warned Israel before downing of plane

Israeli has denied that, saying its planes had already returned to base when Syrian forces fired the missiles that hit the Russian aircraft.

The decision, he said, was approved by President Vladimir Putin.

The Israeli military on Sunday rejected the Russian defense ministry's claim that it was entirely to blame for the downing of a Russian spy plane by Syrian air defenses during an Israeli strike last week, reiterating that Syria was at fault.

Russian President Vladimir Putin told Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Monday that Moscow would supply its ally with an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, Assad's office said in a statement. It also says US forces will not leave Syria until Iran leaves. Putin says "a chain of tragic circumstances" is to be blamed for a Russian military aircraft shot down by a Syrian missile.

Russia has announced it will supply Syria with an S-300 ground-to-air missile system, saying it will improve the allied country's defenses and help avert a repeat of the downing of a Russian warplane by Syrian forces a week ago. The Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday Sept. 23, 2018, has renewed its accusations against Israel for causing the downing of a Russian military plane over Syria.

"The command posts of Syrian air defense forces and units will be equipped with automated control systems only supplied to the Russian armed forces".

"We are certain that the realization of these measures will cool the "hot heads" and will keep them from poorly thought-out actions which threaten our servicemen", Shoigu said. In a call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week, Putin didn't outline any retaliatory measures, agreeing only to prevent such steps in the future, the Kremlin said in a statement at the time.

In her original post , King said she knew Kavanaugh and Mark Judge , the man Ford says was present during the alleged assault. Back in 1991, however, the FBI did investigate sexual harassment claims against then-Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas.

Shoigu said the S-300 would be delivered to Syria within two weeks.

Peskov said the measures were "not directed against third countries but towards defending our own military". "Most importantly, this will guarantee that Russian aircraft are identified by Syrian air defences", he said.

A Russian plane was accidentally shot down by Syria as Israeli jets were attacking Assad regime targets in the war-torn country last week.

Russian Federation is providing Syria an air missile system, which is drawing strong objections from Israel.

The deterioration in relations between Russian Federation and Israel, along with a transfer of the S-300 system, complicates Israel's efforts to contain Iranian influence.

Earlier, the Russian MoD presented a minute-by-minute timeline of the Il-20 downing. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the strikes had removed any moral obligation Russian Federation had to withhold the missiles and Russia's Kommersant daily cited unnamed military sources as saying deliveries might begin imminently.
