Welcome back (to reality), Earl Thomas

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport said Wednesday that Thomas will play out the final year of his deal in Seattle and that the Seahawks agreed to wipe out nearly all of his fines for not showing up to training camp.

According to National Football League insider Adam Schefter, the Cowboys upped their trade offer to the Seattle Seahawks by dangling a second-round pick in exchange for the six-time Pro Bowler.

The pressure is on the Cowboys now to make the Seahawks an offer they would accept, and so far, that hasn't happened. Aside from suffering a broken leg late in the 2016 season, Thomas has been a durable starter from the time he arrived in the league.

He has played in all 64 games, recording 40.5 sacks in that time and earning NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2016. On and on it goes. "The word that used to always come to mind for myself was dominance in what he does", Nagy said.

Tropical Storm Gordon could strengthen into a weak hurricane
The mayor of New Orleans , LaToya Cantrell, promised residents that the city has "the pumps and the power" needed for the storm. In this zone, the water could rise up 3 to 5 feet above normally dry land at the coast.

Thomas, 29, has held out all offseason while seeking a contract extension or a trade to a team that will give him one. Time will tell, but for now, Thomas will remain in Seattle. "Seattle wasn't interested; it wants more", Schefter reports. During the off-season would you have traded a second and third rounder for Thomas? Apparently that still was not enough for the Seahawks. He later went on to say that the Seahawks wanted a "second round pick and change". Chancellor missed the first two games before reporting.

Thomas had been known back in Seattle, taking a picture with a worker at Sea-Tac airport on Monday, who posted it on Twitter.

Shortly after, Thomas revealed on Instagram that he would be returning to the Seahawks and ending his holdout. That was different from the simple "no" Carroll had offered several other times in recent weeks when asked about any new contact with Thomas.
