Ohio State Sexual Misconduct Probe Reveals Over 100 Claims

University President Michael Drake said that more than 200 former students and university employees have been interviewed as part of the investigation, including Rep.

"Congressman Jordan told the investigators what he has told the media since the story broke: he never saw any abuse, never heard of any abuse, and never had any abuse reported to him", Ian Fury, Mr. Jordan's spokesman, said Wednesday.

The accusers, including both athletes and patients at Student Health Services, said Dr. Richard Strauss committed acts of sexual misconduct between 1979 and 1996.

As a result, Ohio State has broadly communicated about the investigation, contacting more than 115,000 alumni and former student-athletes and reaching an additional 147,000 people through university-wide notifications.

"The Ohio State University remains actively committed to uncovering what may have happened and what university leaders at the time may have known", the statement said. Athletes who alerted officials about Strauss felt their complaints were futile and that the doctor was above the law in the eyes of the university, according to the lawsuit filed Monday.

One of the wrestlers, Shawn Dailey, said he was groped half a dozen times by Dr. Richard Strauss in the mid-1990s, when Jordan was the assistant wrestling coach. Jordan has repeatedly denied having any direct knowledge of sexual abuse.

Trump finds it 'inconceivable' lawyer would tape a client
Cohen had made a practice of recording telephone conversations, unbeknownst to those with whom he was speaking. He added that a lawyer secretly recording a client was "totally unheard of and perhaps illegal".

His employment records released by the university referenced no reprimands or disciplinary action over any such concerns, but Ohio State has a record of at least one documented complaint against Strauss.

The four wrestlers, whose names aren't listed in the lawsuit, say Strauss sexually assaulted or harassed them in the late 1980s or 1990s.

"The way it seemed to me, it was sequenced and choreographed, and the left, and everything they've done, I guess you'd have to look at that", Jordan said Thursday on Fox News' "America's Newsroom."

Allegations against him first surfaced in April when the university announced an investigation had been opened into the doctor in his former capacity as the Ohio State wrestling team physician.

The revelations come less than a week after five former wrestlers filed a pair of lawsuits claiming that repeated sexual abuse complaints had been snubbed by university officials. In an interview with CNN, he said he told Strauss that his wrestlers were uncomfortable showering with the doctor.

The wrestlers and their attorneys also want to find whether Ohio State violated federal Title IX law, which bars sex discrimination in education.
