Trump tweets he 'never fired' Comey over Russian Federation, contradicting reports about memo

The day before the Clinton records tweet, the FBI Records Vault Twitter account also tweeted records related to Fred Trump, Donald Trump's father.

In that Oval Office huddle, Trump tells the two Russians this, according to The New York Times: "I just fired the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The Corrupt Mainstream Media loves to keep pushing that narrative, but they know it is not true!"

That contradicts what Trump told NBC's Lester Holt during an interview on May 11, 2017.

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe drafted a memo on circumstances leading up to the firing of his onetime boss, James Comey, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press.

McCabe, who became acting Federal Bureau of Investigation director after Comey's dismissal, was sacked in March in a move he suggested at the time was "because of the role I played, the actions I took, and the events I witnessed in the aftermath of the firing of James Comey", Business Insider reported. Trump has also said he did not fire McCabe over the ongoing investigation into whether his 2016 presidential campaign was involved any Russian interference or cooperation to help sway the outcome of the election.

According to McCabe's memo, Rosenstein indicated to him that he was initially asked to reference the Russian Federation investigation in his own memo on Comey. Rosenstein instead described Comey's handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email servers.

Returning to the place where he claimed the second of his three Grand Slam titles did not help Wawrinka shake off his poor form. Two-time Wimbledon champion and eighth seed Petra Kvitova surges into the second round after a remarkable comeback to defeat V.

Trump's attempt to revise his public statements on Comey's firing came as Giuliani drew criticism for comparing special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation to a "lynching mob".

But regardless of recommendation, I was going to fire Comey, knowing there was no good time to do it.

"I've talked with Director Mueller about this", Rosenstein said in an interview with The Associated Press previous year. Comey's firing is one part of Mueller's inquiries into whether Trump tried to obstruct the investigation. "They acted appropriately, these were not spies in the Trump campaign.' The president says the opposite - who's right?" But Comey has disputed that claim, and has said that he could be a witness against McCabe if the investigation resulted in criminal charges and a trial. Still, one consideration lingers: It takes an unbelievable level of shamelessness to say something on national TV, then act like it never happened.

Wikileaks posted an email Kadzik, then a DOJ official, sent to Podesta, the chair of Clinton's campaign, in May 2015, flagging an upcoming hearing where a DOJ official would be testifying and was "likely to get questions on State Department emails".

"He fired Comey because Comey would not, among other things, say that he wasn't a target of the investigation", Giuliani said earlier this month on Fox News "Hannity."
