PyeongChang 2018 and International Olympic Committee officials repeatedly said during the Games that the 2018 Winter Olympics would be a catalyst to spur winter sports and tourism in South Korea.

The IPC and the countries' Paralympic representatives met in the Paralympic Village to discuss the possibility of marching under the same conditions as their Olympic counterparts, but a deal couldn't be reached.

Many Member broadcasters will be dedicating more hours of coverage than ever before for a Paralympic Winter Games, giving millions of viewers the chance to be part of this awesome event.

"We wanted to have a moment of harmony for a peaceful Paralympics and Korean unity, but made a decision to respect each other's stance on the issue", the South's Korean Paralympic Committee said in a statement, according to Yonhap News Agency.
