Blatter says Morocco would be logical choice for 2026 World Cup

With the Moroccan government having already stated its support for the country to stage the 2026 World Cup, US president Donald Trump is being urged to issue the same guarantees, with bid books due to be handed over to Federation Internationale de Football Association in mid-March.

Blatter, who is banned from any role in global football for financial misconduct, issued his backing for the event to return to Africa, where he still has support after championing South Africa's bid to host in 2010. "And it is time for Africa again!"

The 81-year-old is still serving a six-year ban from all football activities, but posted on social media to throw his weight behind Morocco's pitch.

Blatter served as FIFA's president from 1998 until 2015.

Lead and other toxic metals found in e-cigarette 'vapors'
So, the team began a new project studying the latest devices, called Mods, as well as the aerosol inhaled by smokers. There was not a significant amount of toxic metals in the e-cig liquid itself.

The lawmakers told Trump they welcomed his support for the joint bid "to bring the 2026 FIFA World Cup to North America", and said they looked forward to working with him "to advance this important effort". Another joint bid from Tunisia and Libya also was eventually withdrawn from consideration. Since 2002, there were co-hosting bids for the 2010 and 2018 World Cup. "It would build on a successful legacy for our three nations, which together have hosted 13 FIFA-sponsored tournaments". Morocco's newest bid to host the tournament is going to be the fifth for the country, after those of 1994,1998,2006 and 2010.

It should also be noted that the investigations, which now span several countries, into corruption within world football were initiated by U.S. law enforcement, a point that may explain Blatter's stance now, particularly as he wanted the 2022 World Cup to go to the United States, not Qatar.

The former president is now serving a football ban that will last till 2022 for bribery and money laundering.
