'Serial Stowaway' Arrested Again 3 Days After Release

Hartman, who has had repeated arrests for sneaking onto airplanes without a ticket and entering restricted areas of airports, is accused of doing it again - this time, police say, illegally boarding a January 14 flight to London.

Marilyn Hartman, 66, of Grayslake, was arrested just before 1:30 a.m. after police received a disturbance call about a woman refusing to leave the airport, police said in a statement sent to Fox News.

Hartman, who had been attempting to get on flights without tickets at least since 2014, caught a shuttle bus to the global terminal and slept there overnight, prosecutor said.

Hartman has served jail time in the past for similar incidents. The woman was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing on state land and a violation of a bail bond.

It wasn't immediately clear how she managed to get from the private aviation area to the main terminal, which is several miles away.

NBC reported that Hartman was released from custody Thursday even though the county sheriff's office protested the move.

Hartman's most recent arrest, prior to today, came after she slipped past a security checkpoint at O'Hare and boarded a flight to London without a ticket or passport.

Pence visits Western Wall on last day of Israel visit
Other female journalists present used the #PenceFence hashtag when discussing the event on social media. Pence responded, "I am here to convey a simple message from the hearts of the American people".

Asked for further details on the tricks she uses, she said: 'I don't think it's wise to say how I got through.

She was spotted by officials and fled - but was seen again shortly after at the airport's Terminal 3, where she was taken into custody.

While rescinding the ankle monitor and lowering her bond to $10,000 from $25,000, Associate Judge Donald Panarese Jr. warned her three separate times during the brief court hearing to stay away from O'Hare International Airport.

Once on the plane, flight attendants realized she didn't have a ticket and alerted authorities. She was caught in London Heathrow and sent back to Chicago O'Hare, where police were awaiting her arrival.

According to NBC5, police thought Hartman was able to get on the plane by mixing in with a large group. She was sentenced to six months of house arrest in a mental health facility for violating court orders to stay away from airports. After an August 2014 arrest in Phoenix, Hartman told reporters in a teary and rambling explanation of her behavior that she suffered from a mental illness and had been medically diagnosed with major depression.

During last week's episode, Hartman managed to evade security in the same terminal, during which she tried to board a flight to CT.

Hartman was given probation when she was sentenced after pleading guilty in a February 2016 trespassing charge, but she was sentenced to 364 days in jail a few weeks later, according to court records. That trip also led to charges for violating probation after she was charged in attempts to sneak onto planes at O'Hare and Midway on consecutive days in July 2015.
