Reuben Foster arrested in Tuscaloosa

On Friday night, former Alabama star LB Reuben Foster was arrested on charges of marijuana possession.

According to Tuscaloosa police, officers encountered Foster near the intersection of Highway 69 South and Oscar Baxter Drive.

Bond was set at $2,500 for Foster, who was a first-team All-American for the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2016 and also won the Butkus Award as the best linebacker in college.

Under Alabama state criminal law, second-degree possession is a Class A misdemeanor.

Facebook is working on a new section for local news
As reported by Recode , the feature combines events, announcements, and local news items specific to a particular city. The section will be powered by a mix of machine learning software and human workers used to surface the local content.

The arrest comes almost two weeks after Foster closed out his rookie season, finishing second on the 49ers in tackles with 72 in 10 games.

Foster is no stranger to trouble as his diluted urine sample for a drug test at the Scouting Combine caused him to slip to the 31st pick in the 2017 draft.

He was the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Month in November.

During his senior season at Alabama in 2016, he was named the Butkus Award victor.
