ARMS Version 5.0 Adds New Fighter Dr. Coyle

Previously hinted at in older story updates, we are now officially bearing witness to the rise of Dr. Coyle.

The new ARMS update is out now for free on Nintendo Switch. This makes Dr. Coyle the third fighter added in the past several weeks. "Of course we'll continue tuning game balance, so please continue to enjoy Arms, which we have filled with so many lively characters up to this point!" They're named the Lokjaw, the Parabola and the Brrchuk.

Today's update brings a new fighter and a new stage, bringing the postlaunch support to five fighters and stages, with 12 new arms to work with compared to what ARMS launched with.

The new stage added in the update is based off of Dr. Coyle's lab is called [NAME REDACTED]. Play the Grand Prix at LV6 or higher as someone other than Dr. Coyle and see what happens... For those that play Grand Prix at level six or lower, the game will gradually build in difficulty as you go now. The stage is one of the smaller stages in ARMS now and has moving obstacles. These were promised and anticipated by fans when the game made its debut, so Nintendo's follow-through is definitely appreciated.
