Yemen rebels fired at Saudi Arabia's missile

Saudi Arabia's Al Ekhbariya TV said it was brought down north of King Khaled Airport. Houthi rebels are opposed to the troops of President Abd-rabbu Mansour Hadi, supported by the forces of the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia.

The missile was destroyed near Riyadh's King Khaled worldwide airport and was said to be of "limited size".

According to the reports, the attack was conducted using a Yemeni-made, long-range ballistic missile called the "Burqan 2H".

Unconfirmed footage uploaded to Twitter appeared to show a volley of at least three missiles being fired from the ground at an undetermined location in Riyadh.

"Travelers across King Khalid worldwide airport in Riyadh, we assure you that the movement is going on as normal and usual, and trips going according to time", the airport said on Twitter.

The air forces confirmed that no damages or injuries were reported in the attempted attack targeting the Saudi capital, and the airline traffic was not disturbed.
