Select Xbox 360 Games Will Run Better on Xbox One X

Microsoft will also give all of the games nine times their original pixels compared to the games on the original Xbox console.

Four Xbox 360 games will get visual enhancements on Xbox One X when the new console launches next month, Microsoft announced today.

And when Xbox One X launches on November 7, you can run select Xbox 360 games at higher resolution, 9X the original pixel count, and with expanded color details.

On the plus side, system link multiplayer is available across different Xbox systems. Unfortunately, you still have to purchase them again even if you still have the original discs, but at least you can now play older games on a newer console.

In Nov. 2015 Microsoft launched its Xbox One Backward Compatibility feature, with an initial set of more than 100 titles, allowing fans to take their Xbox/Xbox 360 experience to Xbox One.

Like backwards compatible Xbox 360 games, one simply needs to insert an Xbox game disk into the Xbox One. Most of these games will still be in a 4:3 aspect ratio, however. Not to mention that we won't complain about the awesomeness that is the Knights of the Old Republic becoming playable on another platform. Online multiplayer, however, is impossible as their respective servers have long since been switched off.

You can start playing tomorrow.

When attempting to buy any of the games on Xbox One, none were appearing in the dashboard. It's set to be the most powerful Xbox One console, and when the company opened pre-orders for the Project Scorpio Edition of the console, it sold out nearly immediately. Microsoft has also stated that they expect to release another curated list of original Xbox titles in spring of 2018.
