President Sisi to receive Egypt players after World Cup success

Egypt has qualified for next year's World Cup in Russian Federation after beating Republic of Congo 2-1 at home on Sunday.

Nigeria became the first African country to qualify for the World Cup after defeating Zambia on Saturday.

The Egyptian president expressed "his happiness over the Egyptian national team's achievement, thanking the players and technical staff for their great efforts during the World Cup qualifiers", the presidency statement said.
