Packers Question of the Day: Expectations for Sunday

The Packers could potentially be without both Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb going into the game this Sunday, as both suffered minor injuries last week in Atlanta.

Nelson practiced in full on Wednesday and said afterward he expects to play after missing most of last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons with a quad injury.

Bracket coverage on the talented A.J. Green should be used because Brandon LaFell is not almost as risky and tight end Tyler Eifert might not even be available because of injury. They put it all on display again next week against the Detroit Lions, who are coming off a convincing 24-10 Monday Night Football win over the New York Giants.

"I'm OK", Rodgers said Wednesday.

Green Bay was already without offensive tackles Bryan Bulaga and David Bakhtiari. There were more players from Atlanta treated on the sidelines though and Green Bay was supposed to in because they came into the game "healthy", which makes this comment curious at the very least.

When the Packers lose, it's usually because they dig themselves big holes early. "There's always room for improvement, so I'm continually trying to get better, but I think I'm pretty comfortable in my role".

"Well, I mean you've got to play around that type of stuff because that's what comes with the game", Packers receiver Davante Adams said. "I anticipate him practicing Saturday, and we'll take it from there".

The run defense should get back into form as Cincinnati hasn't gotten it's ground game going yet. "I feel good. I felt good with my wind". If Bulaga is able to play on Sunday, and from the way he is talking, he will be on the field, it will be his first game of the season back to defend his star quarterback. If Brooks isn't far enough along in the playbook after signing after training camp, Kyler Fackrell would be another option.

And Vontaze Burfict was suspended for the first three game of the season after a dirty hit in the preseason.
