Samsung Galaxy Android 8.0 Oreo Updates Confirmed

Google has released the latest version of its Android mobile operating system (OS), which will be named after Oreo chocolate biscuits. Most newer Samsung and Sony phones are also confirmed to support Android Oreo, including 2017 Galaxy devices as well as the S7 line, along with the Xperia X, XZ, XA1, and their various iterations. Yes, finally, Google is releasing its much-anticipated and highly speculated Android update Android O, today along with The Great American Solar Eclipse. The update brings a big revamp of the notification panel, with a new layout, colors, and features, like "snoozing". According to Google's numbers, most Android devices - about 85% - aren't even on Android Nougat, last year's release. Google made a decision to have a live stream from NY, which would be proceeded at 2:40 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) and it will be 12:10 am for India. If you don't have the newest Android phone, however, you probably won't be able to download the new OS for now.

"Android O update is touching down to Earth with the total solar eclipse, bringing some super (sweet) new powers!"

Google says these updates will begin rolling out in phases "soon", along with updates for the Pixel C and Nexus Player.

The company wasn't keen on introducing the name of this version at the time, though. With the Notification dots in place, apps you have on your home screen will display these dots that give you a glimpse at new details with apps that have a notification, and by tapping on them you can initiate quick actions.

Interestingly, earlier in the day, there was a leak from the reputed leakster Evan Blass, who shared an image of what (may or may not) appears to be the future mascot of the Android's next version along with its official name.

App Badges: Android O provides native support for app badges.

Notification Shade: In Android O, there is a little re-ordering of the toggles. It's similar to the autofill feature already enabled on Google Chrome and other web browsers. It means one can send an email while watching you tube video.

The new version of the Android is slated to get some of the very new features.
