The Korean tech giant will unveil the Galaxy Note 8 in NY on August 23 (local time), about a month later than the usual date for the world debut of the Galaxy Note series. It is only slightly larger than the Galaxy S8 Plus. Which device would outsell the other?

The new S-Pen is expected to be a magnetic one and could also be more useful in functions such as drawing and taking notes.

Interestingly, the battery of the Galaxy Note 8 seems to be between Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, which come with 3000mAh and 35000mAh batteries respectively.

After the Galaxy Note 7 mishap previous year that resulted in its official discontinuation, it is the Galaxy Note 8 that needs to be an attractive package to improve Samsung's image in the market. According to the telecommunications industry on Thursday, Samsung Electronics and three Korean mobile communications companies will take pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 8 for 11 days from September 1.
