West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice leaves Democratic Party at Trump's rally

Trump has also recently stepped up criticism of his own attorney general, Jeff Sessions for recusing himself in the Russian Federation probe - another move that has raised questions about whether Trump was trying to obstruct or wrest control over Mueller's probe. The probe's expansion is also virtually sure to incense President Trump, who is already furious with the Russian Federation investigation he calls a "witch hunt".

At his rally, Trump didn't refer explicitly to the grand jury. It is the second visit Trump has made to the state in as many weeks.

At a rally with President Donald Trump in West Virginia on Thursday night, the state's Gov. Jim Justice declared that he is leaving the Democratic Party that he said abandoned him and is joining the Republican Party. "But don't forget, and I will never forget, the millions and millions of people out there that want jobs that don't register on the unemployment rolls because they gave up looking for jobs".

"I tell you as West Virginians I can't help you anymore being a Democrat governor", Justice said, according to the Atlantic. In the middle of his speech, Trump brought Jim Justice, the Democratic Governor of West Virginia, on the stage. It just makes them feel better when they have nothing else to talk about.

On Thursday night, Trump portrayed himself as a job creator and vowed to cut taxes, crack down on immigrants, and rebuild the country's infrastructure.

The president's remarks came just four hours after a trio of stories broke, in The Wall Street Journal, on the Reuters' wire and on CNN, revealing that the grand jury had been impaneled and that the scope of Mueller's investigation had expanded to include looking at the potential financial ties between Trump, his family and associates, and Russian Federation. And Trump is tapping into both of them.

Trump went on to blame Democrats and the media for ignoring his accomplishments as president, and called the investigation into Russia's alleged meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election "a total fabrication". We won because of you, that I can tell you.

Unlike some of the other people mentioned in this list, she did not change sides early on in her life. Jim Justice took advantage of Democrats by taking our money and our votes.

Trump showed his support for law enforcement, saying, "We stand with the incredible men and women of law enforcement". And in a favorable setting he is, of course, a highly effective demagogue.

Justice told Kercheval he's excited to work with Republicans.

The arrivals of veteran Washington lawyer Ty Cobb as Trump's top legal counsel and new chief of staff John Kelly have been hailed by supporters as a way for Trump to steady a chaotic White House and an inconsistent legal team. In all the previous Quinnipiac surveys, Trump's net approval rating in this demographic had been positive. Trump's approval rating in West Virginia is now at 60 percent, which is the highest in the entire nation. "I look forward to working with him to advance economic opportunity and conservative values". He praised Trump's children, noting he's gone hunting with his sons, and said, like him, the president isn't a politician.

Legal observers agreed that the arrival of a grand jury itself did not necessarily mean Mueller believed that he had found fruitful ground for his investigation. "Whether it extends beyond 2018 is an open question". Trump needs to learn to not sweat the small stuff, and focus on the big picture.

"I think we can all guess just who he cares about by his decision today and it's not the people of West Virginia", she said.
