Liverpool end interest in Leipzig star Naby Keita

RB Leipzig boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has told Liverpool that Naby Keita won't leave the German club this summer - but hinted a deal could be on next year.

The Reds have had three bids for the 22-year-old rejected with the latest reaching a stunning £70m.

Leipzig sporting director Rangnick recently stated that he believes the 22-year-old Guinea worldwide is being poorly advised and insists too many outside people are offering their thoughts on his future.

Jurgen Klopp had targeted the Guinea global, 22, as being someone who would provide drive and dynamism to his midfield and was prepared to back his judgment of the player with the biggest transfer outlay in the club's history.

Liverpool have made a decision to cool their interest in RP Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita this summer but will return to sign him in 12 months, according to a report.

Leipzig's stance - both publicly and privately - has been that Keita is not for sale at any price this summer as the club embark on the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Speaking to Sky Deutschland, he said with a smile: "Our next offer for Keita is €300million!".

He said, as quoted by Four Four Two: "The chances [of a transfer], none". It is 100% clear that Naby will play this year with Leipzig.

"At the beginning of the transfer period we said we would start the season with all our best players".

Keita is believed to be available for £48million next summer, due to a release-clause coming into play.

"For us, everyone can see how important Naby Keita is for our game", Hasenhuttl said.

"Behind many players with an African background, and I've met a lot of them, there is a clan and sometimes a whole village, that lives from the help of one football player".

"Until next summer, we'll keep [the door] closed and then we'll have a look". "We will learn this year again very much, I think".
