Ibaka is one of only 13 players in National Basketball Association history to make 100 3-pointers and record 100 blocks in the same season; he did it last season, along with Karl-Anthony Towns, Kristaps Porzingis and Brook Lopez.
Shams Charania of The Vertical reported that the deal will be worth $100M over three years.
According to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel, Ibaka has long held a fascination for the Heat because of an offensive game that takes opposing defenders to the perimeter and a defensive game capable of deterrence at the rim. Ibaka was acquired from Orlando in February for Terrence Ross and a first-round pick.
Ibaka's new contract is easily the largest one he's ever signed.

Three migrants die as thousands rescued in seas off Libya
More than 8,000 people were rescued in waters off Libya in one 48-hour period this week, Italy's coastguard claimed. The populist Five Star Movement has also called for a halt to new migrant arrivals in Rome.
The Sixers on Saturday agreed with guard J.J. Redick on a one-year, $23 million deal, a source confirmed to CSNPhilly.com's Jessica Camerato. In the playoffs, Ibaka averaged 14.3 points-per-game, with 1.7 blocks, and 6.5 rebounds as the Raptors made it to the second round of the postseason before their elimination.
However, retaining him makes little sense if the Raptors do not intend to also re-sign Lowry, who shares an agent with Ibaka, because Toronto would be heading for a rebuild. There was an issue with the contract (specifically, it violated the Over-38 Rule, since his 38th birthday would have come during the fourth year of the deal).
Iguodala regularly guarded Cleveland star LeBron James during the NBA Finals yet again, and scored his post-season high of 20 points in the Game 5 title clincher.
Lowry is coming off a four-year, $48 million deal he signed in the summer of 2014, but he officially declined his player option for the 2017-18 season in May, making him an unrestricted free agent.
