West Indies vs India - Third ODI Squads, Preview and Prediction

The West Indies have set a target of 184 runs for India in the ICC Women's World Cup match, now under way at Taunton. The only saving grace has been accomplished by top batter - Shanel Daley and Afy Fletcher who remained not-out at 33 runs at 37 balls and 36 runs at 23 balls, respectively.

Opening batsman Ajinkya Rahane notched a century, captain Virat Kohli scored 87 and India crushed West Indies by 105 runs in a lopsided one-day global here on Sunday. They had defeated hosts and strong title contenders England by 35 runs on the opening day.

The West Indies, on the other hand, have suffered back to back defeats, having lost their opening tie to Australia. She hit 13 fours and two sixes, punishing anything short that was hurled her way. West Indies never looked like reaching their target after losing two wickets in the first three overs, with pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar setting the visitors on the road to victory by dismissing Kieran Powell and Jason Mohammed for ducks. After the first ODI abandoned due to rain, the Men in Blue registered a comprehensive 105-run win in the second match.

India will next face arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday.

Read Also Mithali credits openers, spinners for England win The Indians would expect a repeat show if not better against the Caribbean team, who will be desperate to register their first win in the tournament. "But we do understand that we have to play few more games before we qualify for the semis so the next game is equally important against West Indies", Raj said.

Mithali was caught at mid-off on 46 as she failed to clear the circle off a delivery from West Indies off-spinner Hayley Matthews, but not before adding 108 runs with her partner for the third wicket.

The Caribbean batters found it hard to hit leg-break bowler Poonam and the tight wicket to wicket bowling from Deepti and Ekta.

Opener Mathews looked in good touch during her 57-ball knock, which was laced with seven boundaries.
