Megyn Kelly Sees No Lift From Alex Jones Sitdown

For all of the back-and-forth and ugliness, in the end, the ratings for Megyn Kelly's big Alex Jones interview ended up being as tepid as the interview itself.

Jones disputants couldn't support Kelly giving the reckless accuser a larger platform - even if it was used to tear him apart - while alt-right supporters wouldn't stand for the mainstream media journalist blindsiding Jones with a "gotcha hit piece" after baiting him with promises of a much softer interview.

Thanks to a strong showing by Celebrity Family Feud and Steve Harvey's Funderdome (1.4 and 1.0, respectively), ABC won the night in the 18-49 demo (1.0 rating) and viewers (4.9 million), Nielsen says.

"Sunday Night" has seen a steady decline in its viewership since Kelly's debut episode, which was set around an exclusive interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Look at the evidence: The episode lost to the U.S. Golf Open Championship (6.1 million viewers), as well as reruns of both 60 Minutes (5.3 million) and the aforementioned America's Funniest Home Videos (3.7 million)-a clear pattern that points to a vast matrix of blue-pilled people who prefer to remain asleep in front of some other form of white noise.

After Megyn Kelly faced criticism for her decision to interview conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, critics chose to praise the NBC host's editors instead of her once the actual interview aired.

Hours before his NBC interview aired, Jones offered his "sincere condolences" in a video message, saying "parents should never have to bury their own children". Can't they just choose not to watch, just as I would not have watched the interview? Variety reports that advertisers seemed wary of backing the show; a Connecticut NBC affiliate refused to air it.

A parent of one of the victims also spoke out.

Jones, for his part, live streamed a response to the interview - watched at its peak by almost 20,000 people on YouTube - slamming the episode as "fake news".

Kelly challenged Jones from the start, introducing him as a "radical conspiracy theorist" and promising to confront him on his "notorious lie" about Sandy Hook.

Nicole Hockley's 6-year-old son, Dylan, was among the 20 children and six educators killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.
