Cavs dominate Warriors to keep NBA Finals alive

After bulldozing their way to three fifteen straight wins in the postseason, the Golden State Warriors were unable to eliminate the Cleveland Cavaliers last night in Ohio. Golden State is the better team. Last night? The Cavaliers shot around 55% (17-of-31) on these open shots, while the Warriors shot a frightful 16.7% (4-of-24).

"Tonight was who we are". We understand that, but we just felt that we have gotten better each game. (Reminder that we're not done with the memes yet, nor should we be.) We can appreciate the Cavaliers in Game 4 while still understanding that the Warriors are the overwhelming favorites to win this series, and probably in Game 5 when they return home.

Unable to score and watching haplessly as Kevin Durant nailed a dagger three-pointer, the Cleveland Cavaliers had their hearts broken in the closing moments of Game 3. The only team to come back from a 3-1 deficit in the Finals, LeBron James and his buddies are basketball's high-wire, high-risk act with no net to break their fall. The Cavaliers set a Finals record during their 137-116 victory over the Warriors on Friday night by connecting on 24 of their 45 tries from beyond the arc.

"Cavs in 7! Cavs in 7!"

Cleveland is in position to keep that streak going. It not only prevented the Warriors from celebrating a championship win in Cleveland but also kept the Cavs from being swept in the Finals. Now, Golden State fans are holding their breath.

Kerr said the Cavaliers played with a physicality his team failed to match.

"I don't think any thoughts or concerns about history", Kerr said.

Kyrie Irving produced a huge scoring display as the Cavs came out on top.

The bad news doesn't end there for Golden State: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala all have two fouls apiece already.

James finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and on one trip threw the ball off the backboard to himself for a dunk. "We knew that's part of who we are, but I feel like we say that every game", said Kevin Love, who had 23 points for the Cavs.

Three early turnovers led to five quick points for the Cavaliers, and Cleveland finally started to get some life from center Tristan Thompson, who had been completely neutralized through the opening three games of the series.

Through a half, the Cavs were shooting 61% from the field and just over 59% from three.

A fan who sat near the Warriors' bench was ejected late in the third after interfering in a war of words between the two teams. Pachulia could have been tossed, but was only given a technical as was Shumpert.

"Our mindset is to go out there and get one", James said. The Cavs opened the first quarter with 49 points, the most in a quarter in Finals history. He played 21 minutes and was plus-10.

Kyrie Irving has 32 points and the Cavaliers lead Golden State 115-96 after three quarters. "I'm pretty sure Draymond won't get suspended for Game 5".

"It was one of those nights where we just did not have anything clicking", said Curry.

Warriors: Were trying to become the first team to complete a postseason unbeaten. James recorded his ninth Finals triple double, passing Magic Johnson for No. 1 on the all-time list, and passed Michael Jordan for No. 3 on the all-time Finals scoring list. And that was my barometer.
