Vladimir Putin denies having compromising information on Donald Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin "handled" Megyn Kelly easily in her debut NBC News interview that aired on Sunday.

“Well, this is just another load of nonsense, ” Putin said in response to a question about Kislyak meeting Trump campaign officials. Some conspiracy theorists think they might have killed JFK, so you can't trust those guys.

"We have a lot of Americans who visit us", Putin said.

"Why do you feel you have the right to ask us these kinds of questions?"

As a former KGB recruiter, Putin was unfazed by Kelly's questions, and even taking a bit of a shot at the current state of turmoil going on in the United States since Trump was elected.

Putin ridiculed the allegations of Russian meddling in US elections, accusing the Democrats of trying to shift blame for their defeat.

United States intelligence has accused Russian Federation of interfering in the election by hacking the Democratic Committee's computers and leaking information - a claim that Moscow has repeatedly denied. "That's complete nonsense", he said.

"Where would we get this information?"

This charge - and even more damning suggestions that the Trump administration actually colluded in such an effort - are at the core of a high-stake probe by a United States special counsel and congressional committees. "We didn't have any relationship at all".

Putin also claimed he hardly spoke at all with former U.S. National Security Adviser Michael Flynn when they sat together at a Moscow dinner in 2015, NBC News quoted the Kremlin leader as saying.

The intelligence committee has asked to review that memo and any other notes Comey put together on his private meetings with Trump, although Warner said that would likely have to be cleared by Robert Mueller, another former FBI director now overseeing the bureau's investigation as special counsel.

London terror attacks: What we know and don't know
One of those hurt in the attack was Australian Candice Hedge, who was stabbed in the neck, her mother told CNN Sunday. This time will be no different. "We cannot and must not pretend that things can continue as they are", she said.

"They have been misled", Putin told NBC, in an interview NBC said was recorded on Friday.

Granted, Kelly is no foreign affairs reporter or hard-nosed journalist.

"Had there been anything significant he would have reported it to the minister". "And I got up and left", Putin said. "There weren't even any reports".

"That's it. I didn't even really talk to him".

"It's just that French journalists asked me about those hackers". He said there may have been non-Russian hackers from anywhere that simply blamed Russia. He also alleged that the us actively interferes with electoral campaigns of other countries.

Mr Putin said the U.S. intelligence agencies had been misled over their findings.

"He was clearly defending himself by putting all the blame on somebody else, whether it was the US or 3-year-olds, or smart hackers, or people who could imitate Russian Federation or USA interference in somebody else's elections".

"There is a theory that (President) Kennedy's assassination was arranged by the United States intelligence services so if this theory is correct - and it cannot be ruled out - then what could be easier than using all the technical means of this day and age to organise the attacks and point the finger at Russian Federation". Does he think the battered US President needs a bit of help - a little overseas support? Mr Trump is known to change his mind on major issues.

Lawmakers in both parties have urged Trump to allow Comey to testify publicly.

USA intelligence agencies concluded in January that Moscow tried to tilt the election campaign inTrump's favour, including by hacking into the emails of senior Democrats, a charge the Kremlin denies. "As of right now we have no credible evidence that there was any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government and if we found that I would run it over to the Department of Justice and ask for prosecution as soon as that happened", Nunes said, USA Today reports.
