Lea Michele cried after meeting her 'idol' Celine Dion

The 30-year-old actress was seated alongside a star-studded list of musicians for the ceremony at the T-Mobile Arena - but her personal highlight of the evening was getting to meet Celine, who she subsequently described as her "idol".

She recalls the experience as "emotional" and adds she had to "hold (her) tears" during the performance. News that she'd freak if she got close to Celine. So, I just stood there and she looked at me and she goes, 'You look attractive, ' and then of course I was like, 'I'm the biggest fan, ' and we shook hands. "I said, 'Forget about the rest of all the 15 racks you brought me, this is it'". "This is a dress that I want to wear". "I knew in my heart of hearts that that would be the dress". There was so much power and love in that room.

The moment was just as big for Roach as it was for Celine. "I had already seen a mockup of what the stage would look like and I was just like, 'God sent me this dress because this woman is supposed to look like an angel under these lights.' And that's exactly what happened". I think she's incredible. A month turned into a year and things came full circle on Sunday, when Roach styled Dion for this year's awards show.
