WhatsApp Users On Android Can Now Pin Important Chats

Pinned Chats is one of the features that was introduced in the beta version a while ago and WhatsApp has released for all the users today. However, it must be noted that this feature has only been made available to Android devices for now. Unpinning a chat is just as easy, just long press on the contact again and unpin by tapping the pin icon on top.

WhatsApp announced the development via a statement which said: "With pinned chats, you never have to worry about scrolling through the long list of conversations to text your family members or your best friend".

The biggest advantage of the feature is that once you have pinned a chat, it will stay on the top of your chat list, regardless of your conversation or dialogue timings with the concerned individual or group.

NHS 'open for business' amid 'international manhunt' for cyber attackers
It's crucial that customers allow their computers to automatically patch themselves when patches are issued. The WannaCry ransomware appears to only attack unpatched computers running Windows 10.

WhatsApp is a very popular application with over 1.2 billion monthly active users. WhatsApp users will need to download the latest WhatsApp update from the Google PlayStore.

As for iOS users, it seems that the feature isn't live for you guys yet so we guess you'll just have to wait, but we reckon it probably shouldn't be too long before the update finds its way to you. The same mechanism has been put into place here, where you can pin a chat to the top and visit it later for whatever reasons you might have.

You can also unpin chats by repeating the same process you used to pin them. After doing so, a pin icon will appear on screen with an option to delete, mute or archive appearing. Choose this and the chat will move down automatically.
