Prison: Aaron Hernandez elated about acquittal, not suicidal

The report says that no one entered Hernandez's cell from 8 p.m.to the time he was discovered hanging.

The Bible passage John 3:16 states: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".

Contrary to earlier reports, Aaron Hernandez wasn't on any drugs when he committed suicide in his jail cell. Hernandez had "pegged" the door to his cell by stuffing its tracks with cardboard, making entry hard, the report states.

The last disciplinary report was from an incident in October when an officer had to remove another inmate who was locked in Hernandez's cell with him. The officers and medical staff performed CPR, but Hernandez never regained consciousness. He was taken to UMass Memorial Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster and pronounced dead.

On page 2, the report details the officers finding of Hernandez in his cell. Aside from a cut on his right middle finger and marks from the sheet around his neck, there were no signs of trauma on his body.

John 3:16 was written on Hernandez's forehead in ink.

However, this week's ruling will prohibit Ursula Ward from accessing Aaron Hernandez's brain, blood, and urine samples as part of her lawsuit. Under the drawings was a Bible open to John 3:16, with the verse marked in blood. "Next to the Bible were 3 handwritten notes".

The former National Football League player imprisoned for murdering his friend Odin Lloyd was found dead in his cell last month.

He also penned a letter for Kyle Kennedy, the convicted robber he grew close to behind bars. "He's my brother and he always will be". One officer said he last saw Hernandez around 1 a.m. on April 19.

However, the report says police listened to seven final phone calls the evening prior to his death.

Authorities also said Hernandez never indicated he planned on killing himself in the five phone calls he made hours before he died.

Another inmate said Hernandez mentioned a rumor he heard: That if an inmate has an open appeal and dies in prison, he is acquitted and will no longer be guilty.

Defense attorney, Jose Baez, issued a statement criticizing the state's handling of the report, saying that Hernandez's family learned the details through media reports. "A post mortem toxicology of Hernandez's food came back negative for all substances tested to included synthetic cannabinoids".
